2025 China Violin Art Summit Forum was successfully held in Beijing
2025/07/02At the opening of the 32nd Beijing International Musical Instruments Exhibition, the inaugural "2025 China Violin Art Summit Forum &INNEO PHOENIX Violin Expert Appraisal" was successfully held in Beijing, hosted by the China Association of Performing Arts Technology and organized by Taixing INNEO Musical Instruments Co., Ltd. Attendees included Zhu Xincun (Chairman of China Association of Performing Arts Technology), Sun Ruiyong (Executive Vice President of China Musical Instrument Association), Qian Fumin (Deputy Secretary-General of the Association), and officials from Huangqiao Town, Taixing (Jiangsu) – China’s violin production hub where INNEO’s factory operates. The event featured special guests like internationally renowned luthier and "National Craftsman" Zheng Quan; Zhang An (President of the Violin Makers Branch of China Musical Instrument Association); violinists Zhao Kunyu, Cao Huan, Wu Zhengming, Qi Lin, and Yang Ying; and violist Zhang Jinchun, who provided on-site evaluations and guidance.
In his address, China Musical Association Vice President Sun Ruiyong emphasized that while China's violin industry leads globally in production scale, domestic instruments still face significant challenges in professional performance markets. "There remains substantial room to increase adoption rates in professional ensembles, and greater efforts are needed in youth music education," Sun noted. He framed these gaps as catalysts for progress, highlighting how INNEO's PHOENIX violins demonstrate China's capacity to transform its "world-dominating production volume" into quality excellence. The association plans to establish a professional certification system using PHOENIX as a benchmark to propel more Chinese brands onto the global market.
Master Luthier Zheng Quan analyzed China's violin industry through historical, contemporary, and future lenses. He affirmed that INEO's PHOENIX violins transcend traditional factory limitations through its "industrial innovation + handcrafted precision fine-tuning" model. Their acoustic architecture and wood-treatment techniques now meet professional performance standards, establishing a new paradigm for scaled production of concert-grade Chinese violins.
Centering on PHOENIX violins, participating musicians provided rigorous appraisal and theoretical frameworks to advance domestic brands internationally. Consensus emerged that Chinese violins historically suffered from "inadequate professional recognition and fragmented supply chains." As an innovative leader, INNEO's PHOENIX series addresses premium market demands through its dual-engine strategy of "technical innovation + artistic expression." This event's trifecta approach—craftsmanship seminars, performance evaluations, and pedagogical applications—collectively tackles industry-wide challenges while establishing "China-crafted" as a new standard of excellence in violin making.
After on-site testing of PHOENIX violins, musicians highlighted their "powerful tonal projection, responsive bow sensitivity, and exceptional expressiveness in high registers." They recommended integrating AI acoustic simulation for further optimization on tonal stability and deepen integration between traditional craftsmanship and intelligent manufacturing. Cao Huan, former Concertmaster of the China National Opera House, emphasized the instruments' outstanding vibrato texture and balanced volume, confirming their readiness for professional orchestral use.
Central Conservatory of Music students performed a PHOENIX violin quartet, with experts unanimously acknowledging the series' "superior pitch stability and value-for-money advantage over imported counterparts in the same price range," endorsing them as ideal for conservatory training and orchestral reserve instruments.
Qian Junjian, CEO of iINNEO International Technology and founder of the PHOENIX brand, articulated in his speech INNEO committed that the company will use the PHOENIX series as the starting point for sustained investment in acoustic R&D and craft refinement, declaring the mission to "position Chinese violin brands at the center of the world stage."

The event was a vehicle for PHOENIX violins to achieve integrated innovation across the entire crafting-performing-education-market innovation market, establishing a replicable development pathway of Quality Elevation → Brand Cultivation → Cultural Export. In the future, the China Musical Instrument Association will collaborate with enterprises to launch a Professional Assessment Platform for domestic violins, develop internationally aligned acoustic standards, and advance global recognition for the "Eastern Tonality" represented by brands like PHOENIX.
